On the 2nd day of the Cardigan trip, the first thing we did was start off by stretching. Then we made sure we had everything set and ready to go for the hike. When we started walking, we went South-west from the AMC lodge. At the beginning of the trail there is a small pond. Farther up the trail we stopped to play a game. The game was that we had to find a pen in a small area of the woods. After we played a few rounds, we started to head farther up the trail. Eventually, we came to a stop where we played a game of hide and seek but the seeker can only stay in one spot. The area was very muddy. Next we came to a stop at the big fallen tree. Next we stopped at a place for lunch. The area was a big slanted rock with trees and a fallen log. Next we came to an area that was covered in moss. We played a game where the person had to guess who was “it” by watching the people in a circle to see who changes a pattern that other people follow. Next we came to a pretty area with a small stream with many large rocks and moss. After that we came to a stop at an area that you could see many windmills from. We stopped and sketched the area and then started moving towards the top of firescrew. At the top, it was mostly flat , and you could see the top of Cardigan, and you could see the firetower. We stopped and had some snacks and headed back down. The way back down was much quicker. There were lots of cool plants and cool mushrooms. When we got back down to the bottom, we waited for the bus to get there. The bus ride back was fun.

The geography theme of this paragraph is movement. The theme is movement because it focuses on the things we did and saw when we were moving and going up and down the mountain. Movement is the travel of people, goods, and ideas from one location to another. On the 2nd day at Cardigan, we did a lot of moving, therefore this paragraph’s theme is movement.
